Energy dissipation of graded concrete beams on maximum reinforcement ratio

Energy dissipation is a parameter that contributes to the deformation process of structural elements. Factors affecting value energy include concrete compressive strength, reinforcement ratio, cross-sectional dimensions, and history loading occurs on structure. In this study, graded (GC) beams with maximum design was tested under flexural test analyse resulting dissipation. The data then compared reference beams. results showed that: 1) use dimension ratio ½ in GC using can increase by more than 2000%; 2) Design area should be based higher strength up 100%; 3) save construction costs 400% reduction load capacity 25%; 4) improve properties elements 60% while increasing performance almost 50%.
